针对现有通信终端存在的硬件安全机制不完善、计算能力受限等问题，候选人长期致力于智能通信终端安全关键技术攻关。在科技部重点研发计划、省部级“十三五”预研等项目支持下，突破基于DTP-PUF轻量级指纹提取技术，实现硬件身份可信认证，应用在星地协同应急救援系统中，成果获2020年中国指挥与控制学会科技进步一等奖（2/15）；创新融合安全防护的轻量级视频压缩技术，应用在国家三大公共安全视频监控工程中，成果获2020年教育部技术发明一等奖（2/6）。 近五年来在智能、安全领域高水平期刊发表学术论文28篇，其中以第一作者/通信作者发表IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence（TPAMI，IF:17.86）等期刊论文22篇，其中高被引论文3篇。已授权国家发明专利14项。主持科研项目25项，包括国家自然基金面上项目等国家级项目2项、省部级项目5项。
