2010年至2013年期间先后在阿尔卡特朗讯上海贝尔股份有限公司和NEC（中国）有限公司研究院担任研究员，从事信号处理和通信的前沿理论研究工作。2014年至2015年在加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学电子与计算机工程学院任博士后研究员。长期从事无线通信系统和信号处理的基础理论研究与系统设计优化。主持承担国家自然科学基金面上项目、重点项目以及科技部重点研发计划，并参与多项香港RGC资助科研项目，加拿大自然科学基金项目和企业基础研究项目。在IEEE Trans. on Wireless Communications, IEEE Trans. on Signal Processing和IEEE Trans. on Communications等有国际影响力的期刊上发表论文20余篇，其中一作和通讯作者论文16篇。一篇IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing（TSP）期刊论文获2011年IEEE信号处理学会年度年轻作者最佳论文奖。迄今为止，本人指导毕业的研究生已有半数获得研究生国家奖学金。 十篇代表性论文： 1.Liang Sun*, Xinyu Tian, “Physical Layer Security in Multi-Antenna Cellular Systems: Joint Optimization of Feedback Rate and Power Allocation”, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communication, Vol. 21, No. 9, 7165-7180, 2022. 2.L.
